Focusing continuous professional development
Many companies have developed their business around provision of continuous professional development (CPD) through online webinars. My client were well-known in their sector for this long before the current crisis made face-to-face CPD more difficult. As a successful provider, they have built up a large catalogue of webinars for their customers to choose from. In the sector they focus on their customers have little time to search for the most appropriate webinar. How could this client improve their business? This was where recommendation could be used in a different context: a large catalogue of webinars; the customer asked to provide some information about their preferences; and a smaller selection highlighted according to the customer's preferences. The client has reported that this approach has improved their business substantially.
